The Windows executable is bundled with the required Java runtime environment to get you playing Ethereal as fast as possible with minimal setup! Simply download the file into any location and install.	If you are not on a Windows machine or prefer to use a JAR file instead, you must have Java 11 installed. Java 11 can be installed here: Java SE Development Kit. Download and install the proper Java for your machine before running the JAR client.
